Starting a Citizen Planner program

To successfully implement a local Citizen Planner classroom program takes careful planning and preparation. In most instances, county extension offices begin the process 4-6 months in advance of the anticipated start of the course. While each county provides a unique set of circumstances and needs, much has been learned about the "key ingredients” for a successful program. Please read the required components necessary to provide a well attended and high quality educational experience.
