Distinguished Citizen Planner Award
Nominate a citizen planner who is making a difference in their community for the Distinguished Citizen Planner Award!
The purpose of the Award is to recognize outstanding achievements of alumni of the Michigan State University Extension Michigan Citizen Planner. Anyone who has enrolled in Michigan Citizen Planner (past or present) is eligible for the award. Individuals can nominate themselves or others for the award. The “nominee” can be more than one individual if a group project or activity was undertaken.
A selection team will review the nominations and the Distinguished Citizen Planner will be recognized at the Michigan Citizen Planner Advanced Academy to be held at the MSU Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center on Thursday, June 25, 2009. The award recipient will be granted a scholarship to attend the Advanced Academy. In addition, the community of the award winner(s) will be offered a $500 training scholarship for their planning officials to attend professional development training offered by Michigan Citizen Planner.
